I sat on the phone one day and doodled with markers on a canvas that was still wrapped in cellophane. I liked the way the pens glid along on the plastic but didn't pay attention to what I was drawing while on the phone. When I hung up, I realized I'd made something completely with my subconscious and I liked what I saw. This was the beginning of developing a completely new style of drawing and launched the on-going "Title me!" project.
Perhaps the beginning of Title Me! 20 years earlier. Pencil on paper, 1984. "Jemal Doin' the Place to Be" - Steve Rogers "Surrealistic Distortion" - Robert Buntz
"Title me!" is an on-going interactive art project where I post my abstract-figurative line drawings and paintings and YOU create the titles! Each title saved and included when a print or original piece of artwork is sold or put on view. Leave some titles and be apart of the Title Me! Volume III Book! Be creative and have fun!
